BiographyHistory

Berwyn Lewis is a journalist and an award-winning writer and author. She has worked as a reporter, columnist, features writer and editor for a wide variety of newspapers and magazines in Australia and the United States of America, including a stint as editor of Smart Woman & Portfolio magazine. In Australia, her work has appeared in the Sydney Morning Herald, Australian Geographic, the Australian, the Bulletin, and Campus Review as well as a number of niche market magazines. Lewis has written scripts for ABC and BBC radio and SBS television. Her stage plays have been produced by the Belvoir Theatre, Sydney, and the Australian National Playwrights' Conference. She has a number of awards to her credit including Best Original Drama for Radio, 1993 (Pater). Various manuscripts of Lewis's plays are held at Fryer Library, University of Queensland.
