BiographyHistory

Alison Cotes was an arts and theatre critic for 25 years. She co-founded The Matilda Awards with Sue Gough in 1988 and served on the judging panel. She has also written for crikey.com's Daily Review, for The Courier-Mail, and for a range of other publications.. 

She taught English Literature at The University of Queensland for 13 years, then started freelance writing with interests in literature, travel, the arts, and theology.
