BiographyHistory

Wife of lawyer Morris Mondle Phillips (1870-1948), Ray Phillips was involved in wide ranging philanthropic concerns including the Queen Victoria Hospital for Women and Children and the Free Kindergarten Union. She was on the committee of management of the District Nursing Service 1914-1938.

As well as her novel, she published short stories in a number of newspapers including the Argus, the Australasian, the Bulletin, the Weekly Times and the Leader. She also edited and adapted selections from English poets, Selected English (1913) 'from the text-books of the late Adele Ellis'.
