BiographyHistory

During the Second World War when her father's battalion was deployed to Australia, Elliott and her sister spent the years between 1942 and 1945 hidden in the small town of Zeist while their mother joined the Resistance in Amsterdam. Once reunited after the war, the family emigrated to Australia, arriving in Melbourne. Elliott has served as vice-president of the Melbourne Poets Union. (2002)
