Academic and publisher Michael Webster had worked with, among other organisations, the Copyright Agency, the Small Press Network, Melbourne Writers Festival, and the Australia Council. He was an adjunct professor at RMIT University’s School of Media and Communication.
In 2000, he introduced Neilsen Bookscan (now Booktrack) and managed its intervention into the Australian and New Zealand book trades.
