BiographyHistory

Dr Cath Filmer-Davies earned her Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral degrees in English at the University of Queensland. She has won numerous awards and fellowships, has written academic studies of fantasy literature and mythology (including The Victorian Fantasists: Essays on Culture, Society and Belief in the Mythopoeic Fiction of the Victorian Age (1991)), and contributed to several collections of critical essays.

She has worked for a publisher, been an academic, and a radio broadcaster in both Australia and Wales. Filmer-Davies has managed a manuscript assessment company in Wales, which also provides public relations, public speaking and writing services to an international clientele.
