BiographyHistory

'Gareth Griffiths was Professor of English and Cultural Studies at the University of Western Australia until 2013. He has written on post-colonial literatures, especially African, Australian and South Asian literatures. He has also had a life-long interest in and has taught modern drama and theatre. He works on issues concerning US/African relations in the 19th Century and on mission texts and sacral/secular relations in the post-colonial world.   Born in Wales, he has lived and worked in Australia since 1973.
