BiographyHistory

'Ariette started her career in the Netherlands as a dancer with Het Ballet der Lage Landen and was a soloist in London with Ballet Rambert until 1969. She emigrated to Australia in 1976. Her work as a director/producer began in Adelaide with dance-theatre productions based on creative workshops with children. Between 1977 and 1985 she created many shows for and with children, including 'Me and my Mum and Dad', 'Eggs, and Filthy Children' for the Come Out Festival in1977, 1979 and 1991 respectively; 'Fatal Johnny' for the 1982 Adelaide Festival and 'Go And Have An Adventure' - Festival Centre 1981. The filmed version of Filthy Children became the winner of the 1981 Munich Youth Film Festival. Ariette moved to Melbourne in 1985 and has directed Disturbing The Dust, for Playbox and the 1994 Adelaide Festival.' Source: http://www.ariettetaylor.com/ (Sighted 16/05/2008).
