Alistair Morrison was an artist and graphic designer. In the Sydney Morning Herald in 1964, under the pseudonym Afferbeck Lauder (Professor of Strine at the University of Sinny), Morrison published 'papers' on strine, the term to describe the Australian pronunciation of 'Australian' which has become a synonym for Australian English. The 'papers' became Let Stalk Strine (1965). Morrison wrote several humorous works on language including Fraffly Well Spoken (1968) and Fraffly Suite (1969). He illustrated his own books under the pseudonym Al Terego.
