BiographyHistory

Anthropologist. Hiatt's work recording Anbarra law and custom resulted in the collaborative publication People of the Rivermouth: The Joborr Texts of Frank Gurrmanamana (2002). Hiatt was president of the Australian Institute of Aboriginal Studies and chairman of council from 1974 to 1982.
