BiographyHistory

Rick Price began work at the age of 14 to help support his family during the Depression. In 1936 he joined the Royal Australian Navy serving until 1944 when he was medically discharged. He almost immediately rejoined the services in the Australian Army. After World War II, Price worked in various jobs including lighthouse keeper before graduating as a BA in Economics. He worked in the public service in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, before retirement.
