Notes

  • Both Ferguson (7801a-7802) and the "Mitchell Catalog" identify the author of "The Gold Era of Victoria" (1855) as Caldwell. However, the author of that book was obviously a different Robert Caldwell, as the above author was only 12 years old in 1855.
  • Caldwell became a member of the South Australian House of Assembly in 1884.
