BiographyHistory

Walter White was a journalist and poet. Prior to his arrival in Australia, he spent some time in South Africa which he describes in a series of articles entitled 'South African Sketches' in the Goulburn Evening Penny Post. Following his arrival in Australia he worked on a number of newspapers, including the Goulburn Evening Penny Post, the Sydney Morning Herald and the Labor Daily. At one point he also had an interest in the Stock and Station Journal. He  worked for a number of years in the N.S.W. public service.
