BiographyHistory

Apollinaire was a French poet, writer and art critic born in Italy to a Polish mother. He emigrated to France and became one of the most popular members of the artistic community on Montparnasse in Paris and is credited with having cioned the term 'surrealism'. An English edition of his book titled Amorous Exploits of A Young Rakehell was banned in Australia in 1954.
