Christine Paice was born in the Midlands, England and grew up in Eton Wick. She graduated from Kent University before undertaking extended travel through Israel, Greece, Italy and Australia. Paice lived for a time in Tasmania, working for the Tasmanian Police and the Royal Hobart Hospital. She later moved to Kiama. Paice's poetry and fiction have been published in journals and newspapers and she has also written drama.
In 2010 as part of National Science Week Christine was commissioned to write a poem in reponse to the Janet Cosh Herbarium at the University of Wollongong.
