BiographyHistory

Robin Oliver was educated at Canford School in Dorset. In 1964, he set out with his wife to travel overland to Australia, arriving in Perth the following year. Oliver began writing a weekly column on television programs for Perth's Weekend News and later worked for other newspapers including Sydney's Daily Telegraph and the Sydney Morning Herald. At the latter newspaper, Oliver wrote regular reviews for 'The Guide' section of the paper until his retirement in 2008.
