Andrew Stafford was born in Melbourne in 1971, before moving to Brisbane in 1987 at the age of 15. Growing up in Brisbane in the late 1980s and early 1990s played a vital role in sparking Stafford’s interest in Brisbane’s politics and music scene. His first publication, Pig City: From The Saints To Savage Garden was written over a period of three years, and published in 2004 by The University of Queensland Press.
