Little is known of Homer Regas's early life other than that he studied at the Drama School of Athens. He was active in journalism in Australia with the newspapers Panellenios Kerykas and To Ethniko Vema. In 1927, the first Greek language literature book published in Australia was a collection of Regas's poetry titled Flutterings, the second in 1932 was his short story collection Stories of the Foreign Land. He also wrote a book of poetry, 'Parallelismoi' ('Parallelisms') which was never published.

In January of 1936 he became editor of Pharos newspaper (formerly Deltion Pharou) in Adelaide but it became bankrupt in May of that year.

Regas was actively involved in the Greek theatre while in Sydney. He was co-founder and co-director of the Greek Theatre Group of Australia and acted in some productions. He left Australia for London in the later 1930s where he contributed to the periodical Krikos. Little else is known of his life from the mid-1960s.
