William Henry Suttor entered the Legislative Assembly in January 1875 and became Minister for Mines in the Farnell ministry in December 1877. He was nominated to the Legislative Council in 1880 and in 1889 became Vice-President of the Executive Council and representative of the Henry Parkes ministry in the Legislative Council. He was one of the representatives of New South Wales at the March 1891 Federation Convention.
Not to be confused with his father, also William Henry Suttor (1805-1877) and also a member of the New South Wales parliament (in the Legislative Council), 1843-1854.
