BiographyHistory

Historian Lloyd Robson grew up in Penguin, northwest Tasmania. He graduated from the University of Tasmania and undertook further study in London and Canberra. He worked for some time as a reader in history at the University of Melbourne. He was the author of several other works, including Australia and the Great War, 1914-1918 (1969) and The Convict Settlers of Australia (1965).
