BiographyHistory

Although born in England, Parv grew up in Australia. A former journalist and advertising copywriter, she began writing for Mills and Boon in 1982. Parv also wrote a variety of non-fiction works on subjects including home improvement, health and gardening. She has been a President of the Society of Women Writers.

In 2016, Valerie Parv became a Life Member of Romance Writers of Australia. In 2015, she became a member of the Order of Australia for 'significant service to the arts as a prolific author, and as a role model and mentor to young emerging writers'.

Valerie Parv's literary papers are collected by the State Library of New South Wales.
