BiographyHistory

Victoria Zabukovec came to Australia under the Australian government's 'Displaced Persons Scheme'. Also a speaker of Bulgarian, Serbian, Hungarian and German, she graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1965 and completed a Diploma of Education in 1973. Most of her working life was spent as a secondary school teacher. From 1986 she lived at Island Beach, Kangaroo Island. She has also written In Their Own Words : History of the South Australian Country Women's Association from 1979 to 1999 (2000).
