Sydney-based poet Laurie Brady was educated at Sydney and Macquarie Universities. He has held the position of Associate Professor of Education at the University of Technology, Sydney, and had written school textbooks and other works on education.
Elizabeth Webby has described Brady as 'a poet of the everyday, writing of life in the suburbs, walking the dog, visiting aged relatives...whether comic or serious, his poems present human experience in a contemporary voice'.
