David O'Reilly was a senior correspondent with the Bulletin. In 1992 he resigned to care full-time for his youngest child who was suffering from cerebral palsy. O'Reilly and his wife, journalist Sue Corrigan (q.v.) re-located to London so their son could receive specialist treatment.
