BiographyHistory

Graeme Hetherington grew up on the west coast of Tasmania and was educated at Launceston Grammar School before graduating from the University of Tasmania. He then spent six years in Europe before returning to Tasmania in 1969 where he spent the following twenty-one years teaching Ancient History at the University of Tasmania . Since his retirement in the 1980s, Hetherington has lived for long periods overseas.
