Greg Clough attended Curtin University where he won a creative writing prize. In 1989 Clough moved to Jakarta where he wrote and produced an English language Australian information radio program, KangGURU, from 1991-96. After leaving the progam, he worked as a communications specialist for International Forestry Research (CIFOR).
