BiographyHistory

The daughter of writer and filmmaker Kenneth Cook, Megan Gressor's childhood was spent in various countries including Australia, Spain and England. She completed her secondary education in 1972 at Loreto College, Normanhurst, Sydney, and then completed a BA (Hons) at the University of Sydney.

For most of her adult life, Gressor worked as a writer, illustrator and editor in London, New York and Sydney. She co-wrote two books with her sister Kerry Cook and illustrated over seventy books for children and adults, including many on health-related topics. Gressor had a strong commitment to politics and ethics, and enjoyed art, music, travel and literature. She died from a blood clot following surgery for cancer.
