BiographyHistory

Frank Dempster Sherman was awarded a degree of Ph.B. from Columbia University in 1884 and was professor of graphics in Columbia School of Architecture from 1904 until his death.He was regarded as a leader in the field of pure mathematics and was a noted genealogist. He was the author of Madrigals and Catches (1997); Lyrics for a Lute (1890); Little Folk Lyrics (1892) and A Southern Flight (1906) (with Clinton Scollard).
