BiographyHistory

Amy Cumpston was a University of Sydney Arts graduate (holding an Honours degree, MA, and Ph.D.) who worked in the Department of Post-War Reconstruction during the 1940s. Experience writing burlesque comic scripts for early television brought her into association with the theatre. She has subsequently held numerous positions and awards in both theatre and drama. She has published extensively, including plays, poems, novels, and non-fiction works.
