BiographyHistory

Dan Midalia studied English at the University of Western Australia. He was the recipient of a Young Writers' Fellowship from the Australia Council in 1980. From 1984 to 1997, he was employed at the WA Office of the National Archives of Australia and he subsequently freelanced as a researcher and archival advisor. Since 2000, he has been employed by the Australian Bureau of Statistics and has been working as a bibliographer for AustLit: Australian Literature Gateway and on the Western Australian Bibliography. Midalia has written bibliographies for archival Commonwealth government record holdings.
He is married to Susan Midalia (q.v.).
