BiographyHistory

J.A. Hogue was a journalist, newspaper editor and New South Wales M.L.A. In the 1880s and early 1890s he edited the Australian Town and Country Journal and the Evening News. He was Member for the Sydney electorate of Glebe in the years 1894-1910, serving as a Minister in the period 1898-1910. He was also the father of Oliver Hogue ('Trooper Bluegum').
