BiographyHistory

Frank Fox was educated at Christ's College, Hobart and began his career as a journalist and later editor with the Australian Workman in 1893. He then went on to work on the Bathurst National Advocate and The Age. In 1901 he joined the Bulletin and was the first editor of the The Lone Hand between 1907 and 1909. After moving to London in 1909 he continued to work as a journalist. At the commencement of World War I he was a war correspondent for the Morning Post. He then enlisted with the British army and after being wounded at the Somme, worked for the War Office. He was knighted in 1926.
