BiographyHistory

Sutherland's short stories appeared in various New Zealand literary publications. She won the Buckland Memorial Literary Fund Award in 1973, the 1975 Bank of New Zealand Katherine Mansfield Short Story Award , and the 1984 New Zealand Scholarsip in Letters Award. After moving to Australia to live in Lake Macquarie, she set up a music teaching practice.
