BiographyHistory

Gillian Eve Hanscombe has worked in education, commerce and journalism and has a strong interest in the arts and feminism. She has served as the Director of the Centre for Women's Studies at the University of Exeter, and participated in literary readings, lectures and workshops in Britain, Northern America and Australia. Hanscombe writes feminist literary criticism, verse, drama, prose and fiction and has contributed to many journals, including New Statesman and Spare Rib.
