A Victorian resident, Shirley Thomas is both poet and historian, having first made her reputation with commissioned histories of the Victorian Employers Federation, Federation Insurance Ltd., and T&G Mutual Life Society Ltd. Her poetry has been included in magazines, anthologies and newspapers.
