BiographyHistory

Shirley Walker was an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of New England where she taught for many years. She was the founding director of CALLS and, for some time, President of ASAL. She published several books and many articles, particularly on Australian women writers. After her retirement, she lived on the North Coast of NSW.

She was the mother of Brenda Walker and Don Walker.
