BiographyHistory

David Young is a playwright and historian. He has worked mainly in children's theatre, and has been artistic director of the Arena Theatre Company (1973-1975), the Toe Truck Theatre Company (1984), and the Salamanca Theatre Company (1985-1990). In 1995 he completed a Ph.D. on tourism in Tasmania, and since then has worked as a consulting historian, editor and historical interpreter.

Young is also the author of the ADB entry for John Blundstone.
