BiographyHistory

Mayne Lindsay (a pseudonym) probably visited Australia before writing The Antipodeans. She was the author of a number of other novels, including The Whirligig (1901), which do not have Australian content. She contributed 'The Mystery of Sada Sukh', a short story, to Pearson's Magazine (London), published in December 1896; also 'For the Honour of the House', a novella, published in The Story-Teller: A Magazine of Clever Fiction (London, Melbourne, July 1910).
