BiographyHistory

John O'Carroll is a lecturer at Charles Sturt University in the School of Humanities and Social Science [2011]. Before he joined that school, he taught at the University of Western Sydney and the University of the South Pacific. With Chris Fleming, he has written essays on the nature of culture. He has also written on Pacific literature, as well as on Australian multiculturalism. With Bob Hodge, he is author of Borderwork in Multicultural Australia (Allen and Unwin 2006).
