Graeme Kinross-Smith has published as a writer of poetry and short fiction and from 2006 as a novelist with the publication of Long Afternoon of the World. He has long experience in teaching creative writing at Deakin University as well as with school, adult and community groups. He has written many journalistic features about different aspects of rural Australia. He is also known as a photographer. For a time in the 1960s he was an editor and writer for children. He has given readings of his poetry and short fiction at festivals and conferences in Australia as well as in London and California. His work has appeared in many literary journals and newspapers and has been broadcast on ABC radio. He has settled in Geelong, Victoria.
