Alistair Ong graduated from the Clarion Writers' Workshop in Michigan, USA and also studied at the TropNest Script Initiative at Fox Studios, Sydney, and at the Master of Fine Arts program, Sarah Lawrence College, New York, USA. Ong published in America and Australia and had a short play produced in Los Angeles, USA. He taught creative writing at Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE (NMIT), Melbourne.
