Sheila Anderson grew up in Sydney and was a member of The English Association. She married during World War II and moved to the Goulburn Valley, Victoria, where her husband managed orchards and where they raised their family. Anderson joined the Goulburn Valley Writers and was a contributor to the group's journal, Tamba.
