Robson returned to journalism after working at a variety of jobs when he arrived in Australia from New Zealand. Robson is best known for his full-time writing of articles in Good Weekend. The high quality of his journalism has been noted in academic journalism articles and books, and has won him awards. He has also written for television and contributed short stories to publications such as Australian Short Stories.
