BiographyHistory

Bruce Venables was a member of the Tasmania Police. In 1976 he became an Inspector in the Royal Hong Kong Police Force, where he served in the Marine Police and in the Tactical Unit. Venables moved to Sydney in 1984 and began his career as a film and television script writer. He is also a well known actor and has appeared in films such as Emerald City, Evil Angels, On Our Selection and Paperback Hero. His television credits include The Jack Davey Story, Blue Heelers, Water Rats, Wildside, Murder Call, Love Is a Four Letter Word, and the ABC satire series, Backberner.
