In 1996, Carole Johnson was living in Eden Hill, Western Australia, and was a member of the Karrinyup Writers' Club and the Katharine Susannah Pritchard Writers' Centre.
2014recipientCreative Industries Career Fundto participate at the International Association of Blacks in Dance (IABD) conference, “One Tree Many Branches”, in Cleveland, Ohio where she will continue to develop her dance writing and making the relationship of Black Australian dance to American Black dance structure more widely known.
