Dr Ian Anderson was born in Tasmania, and is one of the first ten Indigenous people to become a medical doctor. His written works are in the areas of Aboriginal Health, history, identity and culture. He has held the position of Associate Professor and Director at the VicHealth Koori Health Research and Community Development at the University of Melbourne's Centre for the study of Health and Society.
