BiographyHistory

Helen Horton was educated at Fort Street Girls High School before completing a BA at Sydney University and undertaking post-graduate study at the University of Queensland. Horton has had a keen interest in natural history and conservation issues and has served as President of the Fellowship of Australian Writers (Queensland) and the Queensland Naturalist Club.

She has published widely in the fields of natural history and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation has produced a series of her recordings of birdcalls on tape and CD with accompanying booklets.
