BiographyHistory

'Helen Lockyer comes from the Roebourne area, Yindjibarndi country in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. In 1991 she returned to education as a mature age student of the Aboriginal Bridging Course at Curtin, completing a Bachelor of Art (English), a Graduate Diploma of Education (Primary) and a Graduate Diploma of Education (Higher and Further/Training and Development).

In 2007 she was a first and second year team leader and Associate Lecturer in the Indigenous Community Health Program at the Centre for Aboriginal Studies, Curtin University.' Source: http://gunada.curtin.edu.au/ (Sighted 11/05/2007).
