BiographyHistory

Robert Hewett has many years' experience acting in theatre, film and television. A drama student, who studied under Professor Wal Cherry, Hewett graduated from Flinders University in 1971. He began writing in 1980, and now writes for each of these three media. He has worked with the Melbourne Theatre Company, the Nimrod Theatre Sydney, the Tasmanian Theatre Company and J.C. Williamsons.

His work explores such contemporary themes as the challenges of mental disability, pop culture, and the ethics of the advertising industry.
