BiographyHistory

Ernie Tucker was a contributor to English in Australian Education. Based in his home state of New South Wales, Tucker remained a classroom teacher. He exercised significant leadership within the English Teachers Association of NSW (ETA NSW) research. Ernie Tucker's contribution to advancing the cause of high quality children's literature has been widely recognised and praised. In 2006 he was awarded the prestigious "Lady Cutler Award for Distinguished Service to Children's Literature in NSW" by the Children's Book Council of Australia (NSW Branch).
